Camp Kipanga offers a unique summer camp program for children ages 5-18 who struggle with peer relationships, impulse control fitting in with others, coping with emotions and related difficulties. We offer extra support to children with social challenges so they can enjoy a successful summer camp experience.
Our Philosophy
Camp Kipanga’s nurturing environment lets campers explore their interests, try new activities, connect with like-minded peers and feel supported by our staff. Our ultimate goal is for each camper to feel successful at the end of the summer and be proud of their experience at camp.
A Day at Camp Kipanga
Our campers enjoy all the typical joys of camp, from specialty weeks to board games, from exploring nature to outdoor games.
Each week we focus on specific areas of interest such as fencing, engineering, martial arts, science, art and more!

Keep active and focused!
We also engage in enrichment activities like theater to enhance social skills and physical activities to raise our fitness level.
For six weeks this summer, your camper will learn skills that will last them a lifetime!
What parents are saying
“Each day my son came out with a huge smile excited to talk about what he did at camp. His confidence increased tremendously and he even made a good friend from his peer group which is amazing! He wants to go to Camp Kipanga every year!”

Senior CamperS
Participants in the senior group run a self-sustaining business on campus selling baked goods. They interact with other campers and campus students as they create and implement a business plan. They learn market research and business planning and go from creating the product to selling it to the public.
Learn job skills: Teens will spend their morning both in the kitchen and out on campus. While in the kitchen, they will learn hands-on cooking and baking skills, such as hygiene and cleanliness, knife skills and following a recipe, while learning to get along with coworkers and take directions from a supervisor. When outside selling their product, our teens learn money management skills while taking payment and making change for customers.
Practice social skills: While on the job, teens will work on social skills needed for interacting with customers and coworkers, focusing on both verbal and nonverbal communication. Teens will also engage in theater/drama in the afternoon for added social skills through improv and role-play with our theater instructor.
