Our staff is the most important element in the camp experience for your child. Our staff is carefully hand-picked from the finest applicant pool.  Each group with-in the individual camp includes a head counselor and a junior counselor, an adult who has graduated college or currently enrolled and is likely to be in the fields of teacher, social worker, psychologist or related fields that involve children with special needs.  The staff to camper ratio is  at least 1:4. All staff will complete an extensive orientation and training.

Work at one of our Exceptional Camps!  Summer Camp is fun, exciting and the perfect place to spend each summer. We have a variety of staff positions available each summer such as head and junior counselors, arts and crafts specialists, swim instructors, theater instructors and more. Being a staff member is a 6 week commitment. Unless you are an after care counselor, our camp day starts at 8:15 and ends at 3:30.

Staff members need to love working with children and can’t imagine spending their summer anywhere else. We look for enthusiastic, responsible, trustworthy, mature, nurturing, patient, imaginative staff. Our staff includes professionals, college students, and recent graduates all coming together so that all our campers will have great summer and go home happy each and every day.
